SA Ambulance volunteers celebrated

THERE are currently 1549 SA Ambulance Service volunteers in operational and non-operational administration roles, and the organisation took time to thank them all during National Volunteer Week (May 8-14).

During the past 12 months, volunteers have clocked up one million kilometres, providing assistance and transport to some 18,500 patients.

All SAAS volunteers were recognised for their commitment at a series of events hosted by the 80 ambulance stations around the state, including on Yorke Peninsula.
