Life and times of a volunteer ambo

HAVING just retired after 25 years as an SA Ambulance Service volunteer Janice McEvoy, of Warooka, has finally found time to reflect on the changes she’s seen in her time with the organisation.

“It all started with a weekend first-aid course 30 years ago when I was a member of the Marion Bay CFS,” she said.

“At the time I lived between Corny Point and Marion and a lot of cars came to grief on that road so I thought, I should know what to do.”
