Ardrossan nature garden nearly complete

ARDROSSAN Area School’s front area will soon be humming with life after the nature garden is opened on Friday, December 8.

Teacher and Narungga woman Kay Lawrence has led the project and involved Aboriginal students with building the garden, which features natives pig face, salt bush and native hibiscus.

“I started working with the Aboriginal kids because a lot of them didn’t know where they came from, so we did some research and found out, and from this we assigned them a totem for the garden,” she said.
