ACCORDING to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the value of a volunteer’s work equates to $40 per hour.

This means, in the past financial year, Yorke Peninsula Community Transport accumulated an in-kind donation of more than $872,000 (21,800 hours).

In the same time, the fleet of 13 cars and vans, based all over YP, clocked up 832,994 kilometres, the equivalent of circumnavigating Australia 52 times, in 3039 trips that took 21,613 hours.
