HUNKERED down in his Stansbury workshop, Bruce Meehan, a former mechanic and electrical fitter, has been busy repurposing old equipment from local aged care facilities.
The equipment is now destined for Timor-Leste, formerly East Timor.
“While my late wife Lynette was at Melaleuca Court in Minlaton I discovered they had a shed full of disability equipment including wheelchairs, walkers and beds no longer required which were going to be dumped,” Mr Meehan said.
