Mission to Seafarers’ new addition

THE new alfresco area at the Mission to Seafarers Hall, Edithburgh, was officially opened by national executive director of Mission to Seafarers Australia and Papua New Guinea Reverend Canon Garry Dodd on Sunday, September 9.

“The new area will provide additional hospitality for seafarers docking at the Port Giles terminal,” committee chairperson Michael Ford said.

“The outdoor area now offers valuable space for recreation and a new barbecue facility, which is very popular with visiting sailors.
