Fire close to Weetulta

COUNTRY Fire Service crews, water bombers and local farmers extinguished a blaze which burned about 260 hectares and threatened houses near Weetulta on Saturday, December 17.

The fire started in a paddock where lentils were being reapt about 2.30pm.

“More than 20 appliances responded but not all got there, we stop- called some,” Yorke Valley CFS group officer Andrew Cadd said.
