School out forever at Edithburgh PS

THE Edithburgh Pri­mary School siren sounded for the final time at 2.15pm Friday, December 15.

The school, and Port Vincent Primary School, are now closed and students will relocate to Minlaton District, Yorke­town Area and St Columba’s Memorial Schools next year.

“From its humble beginnings in 1878 in the first building on O’Hal­loran Parade, to the grandeur of the current site which opened in 1913, Edithburgh Primary School has had many changes over its time,” principal Helen Jolly said.
