BALCO Australia hopes to soon begin plans to move forward after a fire in its Balaklava hay processing plant caused more than $11million worth of damage on Saturday, January 28.
Emergency services were called to the Balaklava Road premises at 2am Saturday, and worked through to today (Tuesday) to extinguish the blaze.
CEO Rob Lawson hoped to have a better understanding of the damage this afternoon, if CFS handed back the site, but predicted damage would be between $11m and $14m.
