Roundabout to stay single lane

THE proposed Federation Corner roundabout will only be a single lane the entire way around, despite peninsula-wide pressure for an additional lane.

All three Yorke Peninsula councils and Member for Goyder Steven Griffiths lobbied the state government to change its plans for the junction of Yorke and Copper Coast Highways last October.

They were concerned a single-lane roundabout, whilst improving safety, would cause traffic build up for motorists travelling from the Copper Coast towards Adelaide.
