Surgery services severed

COUNTRY Health SA is closing the doors to the operating theatre at Yorketown hospital on April 1.

Southern Yorke Peninsula residents will then be required to travel to Wallaroo or Adelaide for general, gynaecological and urological surgeries.

SA Health acting Yorke and Northern Region director Kylie Williams said the decision was made to ensure the safety and quality of services.
