Emergency rescue at Gleesons Landing

MICHAEL and Susan Pethick’s day trip to Gleesons Landing ended in a dramatic rescue after Mrs Pethick fell two metres down an embankment while walking their dog yesterday afternoon (Monday).

She suffered a dislocated and broken ankle in the fall and, after being stretchered up the cliff face by rescue volunteers, was taken by helicopter to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

The couple, from Caloote near Mannum, had been holidaying at Point Turton for the past week when they decided to visit Gleesons.
