General surgery to continue at Yorketown hospital for now

COUNTRY Health SA has backflipped on its decision to cut general surgeries from Yorketown hospital.

All general, gynaecological and urological surgeries were due to be transferred to Wallaroo hospital as of Saturday, April 1.

Today (Tuesday, March 28), Country Health SA announced all general surgeries will continue at Yorketown while a new public consultation phase is held.
