Huge show of support for Yorketown hospital

MORE than 2000 people have spoken out against the state government’s plan to withdraw surgical services from the Yorketown hospital.

Member for Goyder Steven Griffiths tabled a petition with 2049 signatures during parliament today (Tuesday, May 30).

The petition calls on the government to maintain the current level of services at the hospital, up­grade and properly maintain the infrastructure, and for Country Health SA to engage the community in its planning.
