Local grain growers greet Japanese buyers

LOCAL grain growers met some of their overseas buyers at Wallaroo last week.

Glencore arranged for representatives from Japan’s largest shochu producer Sanwa to visit Wallaroo, Laura and Sevenhill and see the industry first hand.

At the meetings growers were able to taste shochu, similar to a clear whiskey, plus hear from the buyers and Glencore representatives.
