GM crop ban continues in SA

SOUTH Australia will remain the only mainland state in which genetically modified crops cannot be produced.

The Greens’ bill to extend the moratorium by six years passed both houses of state parliament last month.

Under the bill, any decision to lift the ban before September 2025 will require the support of both houses.
