A PLAN by the state Liberals to scrap South Australia’s 50 per cent renewable energy target if elected next year has drawn fire from Minister for Energy Tom Koutsantonis and Conservation Council SA.
Mr Koutsantonis labelled the Liberal plan dangerous, both for investment and the stability of the electricity grid.
“This announcement means a Liberal government would kill any prospect of solar thermal in Port Augusta – and may even mean current renewable projects could be switched off,” he said.
