Council approves debt for projects

COPPER Coast Council elected members again raised concerns about the accumulation of debt at their August meeting.

Councillors Brent Walker and Su Bell voted against a motion which would establish $3.6million of extra borrowings, but the idea was passed.

The additional debt will complement state government funding to further develop the Wallaroo Holi­day Park (formerly North Beach Tourist Park) and roadworks in Kadina.
