Compensation offered for slow NBN

MORE than 40,000 Telstra customers have not been receiving the National Broadband Network speeds they were promised.

Limitations on the fibre to the node or fibre to the building connections meant many customers were not receiving the maximum advertised speeds.

About 56 per cent of customers on the 100/40 Mbps plan could not receive 100/40 Mbps and of those customers, 9606 could not receive the next speed tier down.
