Mining bill is put on hold

THE Mining Act Review Bill is effectively on hold until after the March state election.

State government ruled out calls to sit an extra week to take care of unfinished business, which would have included the bill.

Australian Conservatives MLC Robert Brokenshire said 24 government bills were dropped off the list for debate with the last official sitting day held on Friday, December 1.
