Support for SA families dealing with drug abuse

THE state government is investing more than half a million dollars to improve assistance for families supporting loved ones with substance abuse problems.

Across the next four years, the government will spend $560,000 to expand family drug support services in regional and metropolitan areas.

The initiative forms part of the government’s “Stop the Hurt” Ice Taskforce program. The funding will help establish family support groups, although none are planned for the Yorke-Mid North region.
