Scorching Saturday

TEMPERATURES soared into the 40s on Saturday, January 6, causing many local sports to be cancelled.

The hot weather started on Friday, January 5, with most towns nearly hitting 40 degrees, and Saturday was even hotter.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, Snow­town topped the list of hottest towns reaching 44.3 degrees while Edith­burgh hit 43.2, Kadina 42.7, Price 42 and Minlaton 41.6.
