Inspection rules “unfair” to farmers

NEW rules requiring trucks to be inspected for roadworthiness annually are unfair to those with old farm vehicles covered by conditional registration, according to SA-BEST candidate for Narungga Sam Davies.

Mr Davies said the laws, which come into effect in July, will add more red tape and cost to the state’s farmers, and should be reviewed.

“This legislation has not taken farmers into account,” Mr Davies said.
