Scammed out of $26,700

Copper Coast police are urging locals to be vigilant after a Wallaroo male lost $26,700 in a scam.

The man reported he had been scammed last Wednesday, February 7.

He had been phoned by a person claiming to be from Telstra. The caller said they needed to track down people committing fraud offences and enticed the victim to withdraw $26,700.
