Yorke Peninsula tops the state for grain receivals

YORKE Peninsula’s three Viterra sites have brought in the state’s largest grain receival hauls for season 2017/18.

Viterra Wallaroo received 476,000 tonnes to top South Australia. Port Giles was second in the state with 457,000 and Ardrossan third with 361,000 tonnes.

Viterra central region operations manager Jack Tansley said the strong finish helped YP farmers achieve above-average yields, particularly in southern YP.
