Libs introduce shop trading hours deregulation bill

THE state government has introduced legislation to reform South Australia’s shop trading laws.

Treasurer Rob Lucas said South Australians have overwhelmingly supported deregulating shop trading hours.

“Quite frankly, it’s absurd, in this day and age, that you can buy products online 24 hours a day but you can’t open some supermarkets at 9am on a Sunday,” Mr Lucas said.
