The show follows RuPaul’s journey to discover America’s next drag superstar with the winner receiving a cash prize.
Think America’s Next Top Model on steroids with more glitter, cat fights and outrageous costumes!
The first episode of season 9 was recently aired on streaming service Stan and, much to my delight, episodes can be viewed the same day as the US.
The show features a weekly challenge which can be anything from a talent show or creating a music video to coming up with cheerleading routines.
Along with the weekly challenge is a runway portion with a new theme each week. This segment of the show produces some amazing, creative and proactive outfits.
RuPaul is a star in his own right with many spin-off shows, albums and acting credits; however, people may remember him best from his 1993 hit Supermodel (You Better Work).
RuPaul enlists the help of a judging panel which has included Michelle Visage, Todrick Hall, Ross Mathews and Carson Kressley.
The show has attracted a number of celebrity fans with LaToya Jackson, Paula Abdula, Khloe Kardashian, Olivia Newton-John and Mel B just some of the famous faces to be guest judges.
However, this looks set to be the most star-studded season yet with Lady Gaga guest judging the first episode.
Other judges scheduled to appear this season are The B52s, Lisa Kudrow, Kesha and Meghan Trainor.
If you love trashy reality TV show drama, then you won’t be disappointed with RuPaul’s Drag Race!
