Firstly, a soil erosion retention barrier was installed to stop soil draining and contaminating marina basin waters, not a front fence as suggested by Mr Boaden.
Secondly, the development guide allows landholders to build to two storeys or 15.1 metres Australian Height Datum. The build in question is two storeys and 13.53m AHD. I selected the height of build to give consideration to residences to the rear.
Thirdly, I excavated into existing land to created flat build envelope. The excavated soil was pushed forward to fill the front of the block. The build envelope the residence is sited is on existing hard rock and soil, not uncontrolled fill as suggested by Mr Boaden.
The marina was designed in a considered, terraced way to allow all residences behind Inverness Way to retain their views.
I was aware of the development guidelines of all properties when purchasing this property. My particular build came together throughout 18 months of careful consultation, working with the Copper Coast Council to achieve the desired build form to what I consider to be a very good position.
Perhaps Mr Boaden should give consideration to others who may wish to live here.
