It’s hard to believe the country-pop sensation has only released five studio albums since stepping onto the scene in 1993.
Her third album Come on Over, released in 1997, was her biggest commercial success with hit songs like (If You’re Not in It for Love) I’m Outta Here!, Man! I Feel Like a Woman!, Don’t Be Stupid, From This Moment On, You’re Still the One and That Don’t Impress Me Much.
Come on Over has sold more than 40 million copies since it was released, a sizeable chunk of Shania’s 100 million sale total.
She kicked off the show with a feel-good song, Life’s About to Get Good, from her 2017 album Now, followed by classic Come on Over.
Her third song for the evening, Up!, really kicked it up a gear when she moved to the top of one of the enormous boxes on stage which were lifted up and down and also showed various images.
The inclusion of amazing drum solos between a few of the songs and a kiss cam added a fun element to the show.
Shania seemed so down to earth and really cared about her fans which was evident through her interaction with the crowd.
This included walking through the crowd to get to the stage and again mid-show to move to a small platform, which was only a few metres from where I was sitting.
She sang a song, then spoke with people around her and took several people with her on stage to have a chat and take selfies.
Shania is truly a consummate professional and I hope we don’t have to wait another 20 years before she graces us with her presence again.
