Allen’s 1000-run season

Warooka left-handed batsman Nathan Allen has had a 1000-plus-run summer.

Allen passed the milestone 1000 runs when he scored 34 against Sunbury in the last minor round game of the Lower Yorke Peninsula Cricket Association A grade season on February 25.

Allen had 16 trips to the batting crease to score his 1006 runs, at an average of 83.83; he was not out four times.
