NAFA... Grand final replay fizzer

REPORTER: Dennis Green

The Northern Areas 2016 grand final replay at Port Broughton was a fizzer with reigning premiers Broughton-Mundoora Eagles losing by 74 points.

In a huge disappointment for Eagle fans, Crystal Brook Roosters ran riot to win 19.8 (122) to 7.6 (48).

Crystal Brook led 4.1 to 1.1 at quarter time before it took complete control and the game became a Combe brothers benefit; between them, William and Campbell booted six of Crystal Brook’s seven second-quarter goals.
