NAFA... Eagles fall short against premiership favourites

The Eagles kicked into a stiff Port Broughton breeze in the first quarter on Saturday and failed to score, which ultimately led to their demise against premiership favourite Crystal Brook.

The Brookies defeated Broughton-Mundoora 12.15 (87) to 8.9 (57) after establishing a 4.4 to 0.1 lead going into quarter time.

The Eagles squandered their turn on the breeze, using the ball like millionaires at times, to come up with a modest four goals from more than a dozen excursions inside their own 50.
