Surfarama celebrating Yorkes’ surfing culture

Surfarama, a unique event to celebrate the contribution of the surfing culture to the development and wellbeing of the southern Yorke Peninsula community, is on again at Timperon’s Farm near Corny Point this Saturday, January 13.

Presented by the Formby Bay Environmental Action Group and Daly Head National Suring Reserve Committee, Surfarama is an opportunity for families and surfers to catch up and help raise money for projects to preserve and maintain the coastline.

“The shearing shed will be decked out with artwork from local and visiting artists, a surfboard display, surf memorabilia, a big screen to show locally produced films as well as a stage and dance floor that will feature local and visiting performers,” event organiser Jan Robins said.
