Female football to kick off

Yorke Peninsula’s young female footballers will have their own league this year.

Moonta’s Sarah Campbell was inspired to start a league for her 10-year-old daughter Niki after seeing the success of AFLW.

“Girls can go from Auskick to playing with the boys but I was inspired by the success of the AFLW season to look at local options,” YPFLW secretary Campbell said.
