SYP Bowls: Action heats up in finals

Saturday’s semifinals ended in a couple of close games, the closest of which being the division I match between Curramulka and Edithburgh.

The game came down to the very last bowl when Lyndon Watters secured the winning shot to defeat Edithburgh 90-89.

The other close game was played in division II at Yorketown, when Stansbury Blue clawed a win from the jaws of defeat. Keith Caldow was down two on the head, with the side down one overall, and drew a superb bowl to take the kitty back and give side a win, 96-92.
