REPORTER: Peter Argent

Former Paskeville big man Matt Eagles has made his AFL debut for the Brisbane Lions.

Eagles played in defence against Collingwood on Sunday, May 6, and followed it up with a solid performance against the Western Bulldogs on Saturday, May 11.

The dreadlocked Eagles had an unusual road to the top level, debuting at 28 years old after playing throughout South Aus-tralia, Victoria and Queensland before winning Foxtel show The Recruit. His prize was being listed as a category B rookie with Brisbane last year.
