MARION Bay Tavern is the perfect place to keep warm with this winter with great meals, extensive drinks menu and stunning views of the ocean.
Hosts Josh and Megan Harkin pride themselves on their innovative bistro menu and offer fresh-locally sourced seafood.
Signature dish, the Marion Bay Oscar, is always a winner -- MSA scotch fillet from Byron Bay topped with chat potatoes, sauteed Asian greens, whole SA king prawns, lime dill mayo and drizzled with crayfish and truffle oil.
"We have a new winter menu starting this week and we offer gluten free, vegetarian and vegan meals," Josh said.
"We have lots of local seafood, we source our whiting from fishers like Shane Bishop in Yorketown and we get fresh garfish and nannygai locally as well.
"We have an extensive pizza menu but our speciality is tailor making any pizza the customer would like."
Tavern staples include salt and pepper squid, the bay burger, schnitzels, seafood basket and steak sandwich.
All-day dining options include the highly popular gourmet wood-fired pizzas, available from 11am until close daily.
Finding the perfect drop to accompany your meal isn't a problem with 13 beers on tap, 100 bottles in the wine selection and an extensive range of gin and single malt.
The front bar televisions have every Foxtel channel so you can kick back and watch every available sports game live, or move into the lounge area and relax with a coffee.
Want to extend your stay in the area? No problem, right next door there are five luxury, fully-serviced studio apartments.
Marion Bay Tavern is open seven days, serving lunch from noon to 2pm, and dinner 5.30-8.30pm.
