AFTER years of dreaming and months of hard work, Minlaton Foodland is set to officially open the doors to its brand-new store with a grand opening celebration this Saturday, March 29.
The family-owned and operated supermarket, a cornerstone of the community for two decades, now boasts a modern space featuring an in-store butcher, deli, bakery, and the convenience of an onsite car park.
For owner Vicki Love, this moment is more than just a business milestone — it’s the realisation of a lifelong vision.
“This new store has been a dream of mine for years,” she says.
“We’ve always wanted to offer our customers even more, and now we finally can.
“It’s still the same great service, just in a bigger and better space.”
Minlaton Foodland has been at the heart of the town since Vicki took ownership 20 years ago.
Today, it remains a true family business, with her daughters Kelly and Sarah, as well as son-in-law Michael, all working alongside her.
“Having my family involved makes it even more special,” Vicki says.
“It’s not just a supermarket to us — it’s part of our lives, and we’re proud to be serving our community.”
The expanded store not only offers a more enjoyable shopping experience but also reinforces Minlaton Foodland’s commitment to supporting its local community.
“We’re so fortunate to live and work in such a wonderful community,” Vicki says.
“The support we’ve received over the years means everything to us, and this is our way of giving back.”
To celebrate this exciting milestone, Minlaton Foodland invites everyone to join in the grand opening festivities this Saturday from 9am to 1am.
Enjoy a day of celebrations, including a free sausage sizzle, special promotions, giveaways, kids’ activities and more.
With the new Minlaton Foodland now open, the Love family looks forward to continuing its tradition of friendly service and community connection — proving that, while the store may be new, the heart behind it remains the same.
