“Synthetic carpets are petroleum based, so to be able to recycle the fibre means less oil being taken from below the earth’s surface and less smoke entering the atmosphere.
“The nylon fibre has the same integrity as newly produced yarn, but with the benefit of being a much more eco-conscious material.
“The yarn never loses its virgin qualities, which means it can be recycled an infinite number of times.
“This makes it a perfect sustainable fibre solution.”
The Econyl fibre is made into a variety of cut pile and textured loop pile carpets in numerous fashionable colourways and textures by Australian manufacturers.
“These Econyl carpets have all of the attributes you look for in a carpet,” Bronwyn said.
“There are three soft feel cut pile ranges in different thicknesses and a variety of colours.
“There are also five very fashionable, textured loop pile ranges, some of which are made in South Australia.

Kadina Carpet Court has all of the Econyl ranges on display, including floor rugs and a variety of woollen carpets.
The range is available through the Port Pirie and Clare Carpet Court stores.
