COUNTRY music artist Tom Curtain is on the road to Petersville with his award-winning show, Katherine Outback Experience.

This outdoor performance, on Sunday April 2, is just one stop on Tom’s Nothin’s Gonna Stop Us national tour, marking the release of the multiple Golden Guitar winner’s fifth studio album, Nothin’s Gonna Stop Us, which debuted at no. 1 on the Australian iTunes Country Music Chart in October.

The outback show comprises an hour of horse training and working dog demonstrations, including hands-on fun for the kids, followed by 90 minutes of live music by Tom and fellow singer/songwriters Chris Matthews and Melissa Fraser.

Tom’s tourist attraction, Katherine Outback Experience, won best tourist attraction at the 2021 National Tourism Awards and was recently awarded Northern Territory’s best tourist attraction for the fourth consecutive year.

“Our show on the road is a snapshot of the experience in Katherine, it’s more about the training the animals and we are passionate about making it really family orientated,” Tom said.

He and his team have already performed more than 30 shows since leaving Katherine in late October.

Travelling with him are his two youngest children, Harry (3) and Lottie (1), wife Annabel, three staff members, eight horses, 12 dogs and three goats.

“Logistically it’s a bit tougher this year with two busy toddlers on the road but it’s all part of the adventure,” Tom said.

Tickets for the Petersville show are on sale now via tomcurtain.com.au/tour/.

Gates will open at 3pm and the show is 4pm-6.30pm; see advert for ticket prices.

Food and drinks will be available but it’s BYO chairs.
