MOST people, when faced with having to make funeral arrangements, have no prior experience, and little knowledge of what to do.
Copper Coast Funerals can alleviate this burden by providing a range of services, allowing you to choose an appropriate funeral ceremony conducted professionally with empathy and dignity by our professional staff, Debbie Scott and Liz Rowan.
“A funeral is a celebration of one’s life and the role of Copper Coast Funerals is to assist in every way possible to ensure the wishes of the family and the deceased are fulfilled with choices,” AFDA master funeral director Clayton Scott said.
Copper Coast Funerals offers pre-paid funeral plans with benefits which include protecting loved ones from unnecessary stress related to making difficult decisions at an emotional time, relieving family from any financial burdens and ensuring your exact wishes are met.
“You may be able to maximise your pension entitlement as any money spent on a Pre-Paid Funeral Plan is not subject to the income and assets test and is exempt from deeming (according to current legislation),” Clayton said.
Clayton said there are campaigns for funeral insurance, which are designed to meet unexpected funeral costs and are only to be paid upon death.
“When you take out funeral insurance it may cost less than a cup of coffee a week, but some premiums will rise and accumulate as you age,” he said.
“As an example, if you take out a $6000 funeral insurance policy when you are 60, by the time you are 75 you may have paid more in premiums than the value of your benefit.
“Also, it does not plan for your funeral or desired wishes, it only allows for a lump sum payout.”
Copper Coast Funerals encourages people to ensure they are making informed decisions about how to pre-finance their funeral by exploring all the options.
“Do your research and for your own peace of mind,” Clayton said.
