YP Country Times managing director Michael Ellis is excited to introduce the all-new and improved website.
Subscribers to ypct.com.au will receive early-bird access to stories throughout the week, in addition to all the news and views that have already appeared in the paper.
They can also read full copies of the paper, by clicking “digital edition” in the menu, in an easier-than-ever scroll-down format.
The site makes it easy for users to submit information to the paper, from letters to the editor to photos to advertisements — just look for these options in the menu as well.
That includes our popular photo segments, What The?, Catch of the Week, and stunning photo of the week.
Readers can also click through to the YP Country Times-run Farming Extra website for all their farming news.
The new ypct.com.au is accompanied by a new photo website, ypctphotos.com.au.
On ypctphotos.com.au you can find all of our sport and news photos, including thousands that have not appeared in the newspaper, separated into categories to make your searching as simple as possible.
See one you’d love to own? Simply click on the shopping trolley icon accompanying the photo and choose the size you’d like.
“We are excited to introduce our modern new website, and would love for people to take a look,” YP Country Times editor Nick Perry said.
“The site has been in development for a long time and the goal has remained the same from day one — to make the site as user-friendly as possible for our readers.”
“We know a lot of people love our weekly newspaper, and that is not going anywhere — in fact, it’s going stronger than ever.
“This new website acknowledges the fact some news consumers now prefer to read their news online, on mobile, tablet or PC, and that many of our readers live far away from Yorke Peninsula.
“The site also offers a vast improvement to the reader experience for the many people who already subscribe to our YPCTe online edition, and we hope these subscribers will move across to the new site — just call us to discuss your current subscription and how we can upgrade you to the new ypct.com.au.”
YP Country Times managing director Michael Ellis thanked all involved in developing and launching the new ypct.com.au.
“The YP Country Times offers a major thanks to the developer Pagemasters, the Australian Government’s Innovation Fund Regional Grant Opportunity program and the Australian Communications and Media Authority for making this project possible,” he said.
