Bute Bowling Club held its women’s invitation fours tournament on Tuesday, October 25.
After a nervous visit to the Bureau of Meteorology website, a full complement of 16 teams started play in a light misty shower of rain, which didn’t last long.
After a second misty shower, the day was fine and weather was perfect for a roll of bowls.
Maxine Renolds, Kath Amos, Ann Waters and Merilyn Bone from Moonta were victorious, with Debbie Dennis, Elizabeth Dolling, Ros Aitchison and Joanne Balestrin, Port Broughton, the runners-up.
