CHILDREN can trade in their pre-loved toys for something new – and learn about negotiating in the process – at a unique Trade a Toy event to be held by Emmetts Kadina on Saturday, September 28.

In a twist on the traditional dealership trade-in process, the Emmetts team will take a light-hearted approach, offering to appraise each toy brought in by the kids.

After a quick inspection, an offer will be made based on the trade-in value, then kids will be able to haggle with the staff to get the best value towards their new John Deere toy.

After a clean-up, the traded-in toys will be donated to preschools and kindergartens around YP.

Kids will also be able to snap selfies with the massive tractors on display, unleash their artistic side in a colouring contest, and enjoy a good old-fashioned sausage sizzle, with gold coin donations supporting the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Coffee and sweet treats will be available from the popular Taste the Yorke coffee van and there will be plenty of giveaways and prizes up for grabs throughout the morning.

Trade a Toy will be held from 8am to noon on Saturday, September 28 at Emmetts, 19 Martin Terrace, Kadina.
