LIBERAL candidate for Grey, Tom Venning, is undertaking a listening tour of Yorke Peninsula.
He says he is looking forward to meeting as many people as possible.
“As our long-serving member, Rowan Ramsey MP, prepares to retire, I’m ready to step up and continue delivering strong representation for our region,” he says.
“I believe it’s important that those who wish to represent you are as accessible and present in our community as they can be.
“I am looking forward to my listening tour in my home region of Yorke Peninsula, visiting locals and holding community meetings in at least 13 towns.
“I would love to have the opportunity to meet you and to hear the issues that are important to you in your local area, in our state and our country.”
Mr Venning says he understands the unique challenges regional, rural and remote communities face, and will work to keep those issues at the forefront in Canberra.
“From talking to thousands of people already, I know many are struggling with the cost of living, and that the Albanese Labor Government’s wrong priorities and broken promises are hurting families and businesses,” he says.
“With your support, I’ll fight for our primary producers, farmers, miners, tradies, truckies, our small businesses, and our families.
“I’ll fight for better local roads and services, including access to healthcare, education and child care.”
Mr Venning says he aims to be part of a Dutton Coalition team that delivers a stronger economy.
“It is clear that the Albanese Labor Government isn’t focused on our regions and has no plans to address regional issues,” he says.
“Only a Liberal representative for Grey as part of a Dutton Coalition Government can deliver for our regions, the people of Yorke Peninsula, and the people of Grey.
“I am looking forward to meeting you. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact me via my website, phone, Facebook or Instagram.”
