ADELAIDE audiences are in for a heavenly treat as the global hit musical Sister Act takes the stage at the Festival Theatre, Adelaide Festival Centre, from March 22.

Fresh from its sold-out seasons in Sydney and Melbourne, this spectacular show stars Casey Donovan in her biggest role yet as Deloris Van Cartier, alongside the talented Genevieve Lemon as Mother Superior and the incomparable Rhonda Burchmore as Sister Mary Lazarus.

Sister Act is based on the much-loved Whoopi Goldberg film and features a dazzling original score by award-winning composer Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Newsies). Blending Motown, disco and soul, the music will have you clapping, swaying and singing along.

The story follows Deloris, a lounge singer who goes undercover in a convent after witnessing a crime. While adjusting to life among the nuns, she revitalises their choir and inspires a sense of unity and joy.
