YP footballers get in the zone

A total of 14 Yorke Peninsula Football League players have been selected to represent the Central Zone at the 2022 Think! Road Safety SA Country Football Championships, in Whyalla on Saturday and Sunday, July 16 and 17.

Seven of the league’s clubs are represented in the squad, with Moonta and CMS Crows topping the list with four players each.

Ardrossan, Bute, Kadina and Southern Eagles are also represented.

This comes as four Broughton-Mundoora players have been selected in the Northern Zone squad.

A 36-man squad has been selected to represent Central Zone at the 2022 Think! Road Safety SA Country Football Championships held in Whyalla on Saturday and Sunday, July 16 and 17.

A total of 14 Yorke Peninsula Football League players have been selected, in addition to 13 from North Eastern Football League and nine from Adelaide Plains Football League.

YPFL’s selections include its best player for the Nutrien Ag Solutions Cup Jack Elsworthy, Kadina, as well as best under 21 player Shaun McNeilly, CMS Crows.
